I never really understood the whole Brad Pitt hoopla until I saw "Moneyball'. Shoot me now, I think this is the first movie of his that I saw. Well, second after Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I was, literally, ogling the whole time. The jawline is stunning, and those scenes when he's walking inside the room with his smokin' swagger and aviators on was just heart-stopping. All of a sudden, I had fantasies of working for a sports team (ahem, Mercedes GP!) if only he would be the GM.haha (Yes even if he spits on a cup which is really disgusting, I'm wiling to overlook that part.haha) But daydreaming aside, I really love this movie. Jonah Hill was really good, there aren't enough words. He really held himself well beside Brad Pitt. There were lots of hold-on-to-your-seat moments which doesn't necessarily include Mr. Pitt and his insanely gorgeous self. I love how intense it depicts Billy Beane's passion- gritted teeth, clenched fists, and all that. It is very inspiring and definitely puts things on perspective. It's one of those that gives you a nudge on the head when you kind of get of track in this fast-paced city life. Sometimes, it's not about the money. Sometimes, it's about believing in something, being passionate about it and standing by it. (It's a shame I don't have the balls like Billy Beane does.)
Prior to seeing this film, I've played The Show by Lenka several times on my ipod. Then, it was just a cute song with a nice melody. But while it was being played during the movie, I'm seriously having goosebumps. It's too perfect, if you ask me. Kerris Dorsey sang it beautifully and it gave the movie an ironic touch it being about sports and the OST being sung by a little (not to mention, adorable) girl. I think I just found my new song and yeah it took me a couple of years to realize that. ;)
So I end this with a glimpse of one of my fave scenes from the movie which totally made me choke the first time I saw it. After you've experience the whole of Moneyball, this will surely be a tear-jerker. And the half smile on Brad Pitt's face... it gave me another reason to hate Ms. Jolie! Some girls do have it all. tsk tsk
I'm just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze and love is a riddle
I don't know where to go, can't do it alone
I've tried and I don't know why
I'm just a little girl lost in the moment
I'm so scared but I don't show it
I can't figure it out, it's bringing me down
I know I've got to let it go and just enjoy the show
