On to the second awards show of 2012 - The SAG Awards. What I love about this one is that the celebs have the liberty to be creative with their fashion. Literally... Case in point: Rose Byrne in a beaded jumpsuit. While browsing through the red carpet photos, I just realized that unlike the Globes, the SAG awards is a runaway of the lesser known but equally talented designers. I suppose it's also because the latter is a cocktail of the stars from the A, B, and probably even up to the E list.
So, now, on to my list of the best dressed gals!!! =)
Runners-up:
Jayma Mays in Reem Acra

Just because I'm a sucker for black, glitters and sexy backs!haha
Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza

I'd probably wear something like this on my wedding.
Ariel Winter in Collette Dinnigan

Again with the tea-length skirt. I love the intricate details of her top and the lace on the skirt. But I would probably choose a different pair of shoes. The pointed pumps seem a little mature for her. I'd probably take something like what Emma Stone wore. Or some flirty pair of sandals.

The cut and the color are both phenomenal. Though I must say, I'm not a big fan of the white and silver strips scattered all over.
Sofia Vergara in Marchesa

I love this dress more than what she wore at the Globes. But I would, also, love to see her in something else other than clothes which cling on her body. The color is divine, though.
Viola Davis in Marchesa

This dress is stunning except don't you want to give her top a little tug. It's like one wrong move and the girls would say "hi" already. But the gold and white combo is just gorgeous! The flowy bottom and the gold bangle both screams Grecian goddess!
Michelle Williams in Valentino

Who else can do red better than Valentino, right? But I'm not digging the one-shouldered silhouette with lace design. It feels to me like there are 2 different designs which were combined and produced this. And though I love her shoes, I would have chosen a different one for this dress. Maybe a pair with no wedge in front? To say the least, it's her aura which carried this whole outfit.
10. Sarah Hyland in Temperely London

Nude is another trend this award's season and even during the SS Fashion shows at Bryant Park. Like lace, nude colors is one of my favorite trends mainly because I like how it provides a clean canvas for you to play with. I, particularly, adore the details at the bottom and the cut of the top. Her hair is okay, I suppose because it adds a touch of youthfulness to the dress. But personally, I would've opted for either a loose bun or loose braids cascading on one side a la Taylor Swift.
9. Julie Bowen in Temperely London

Vintage seems to be the main theme of the SAG. This time in pastel. This dress is obviously miles away from what she wore at the Globes but it's stunning nonetheless. I think the appeal of this outfit is more of how the color complemented the cut. The rich hue gave the dress the oomph that it needed, enough that it can stand as it is, with minimal detailing. The loose bun sort of agreed to the relaxed aura of the garment, as well. It's one of those that will let you party and dance like a lunatic but at the same time will look good in photos; which, for us ladies, is all that matters.haha
8. Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham

She was the most elegant vision at the Globes. For the SAG, THE Angelina Jolie gave the world a taste of her edgy side. (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, anyone?!) This was almost a salute to her characters in the movies. We knew Angie can pull off something like this, what I didn't know is that Jenny Packham actually makes something like this. I've always thought of her clothes as happy and vibrant. I didn't realize she makes them in leather, too!haha Now, it makes me wonder, since Kate Middleton is a big fan, would she ever try on something like this?!haha
7. Diane Lane and Jane Lynch both in David Meister
They obviously dress differently and yet the same color and the same designer worked for the both of them. Thank God for these Meisters, it gave the red carpet the much needed pop of color (what with all the blacks and neutrals?!)
Diane Lane looked stunning as always. It's really a simple dress but it complemented her well. It showed of her toned shoulders which is exactly what fashion should do - emphasize the assets and hide the others.

And who would think Sue Sylvester can actually do without her signature track suit? And not only that, but don a ball gown as well?! And look comfortable in it?! This dress is, definitely, one of my faves. I love the low neckline, the way it highlights the waist, the big skirt and the pockets. This is what I would call, effortless chic! Good Job Ms. Sylvester!

6. Kyra Sedgwick in Pucci

Call it whatever you want but I think Kyra Sedgwick rocked this Pucci! It has all the makings of a hoochie by Pucci. It's red, it has the most daring cuts, and it hugs your body like a cling wrap. Put it on someone else and you'll probably get just that - a hoochie, but not when you put it on Mrs. Kevin Bacon. Even the strategically placed tattoo didn't do anything to lessen the appeal of this dress. It is a very risky choice, but it sure did pay off.!!!
5. Diana Agron in Carolina Herrera
Courtesy of http://www.hollywoodreporter.com
The fashionistas around the world might have despised her for the horrendous pick that she wore during the Globes but she sure did bounce back and did so in flying colors. This splendid creation is the most stunning in the most organic way. Notice: it has no beadings nor are there any materials other than the main fabric (except perhaps the tiny belt which is adorbs, btw!). The color, the cut, the lose fabric... all of those combined together makes a divine dress. It doesn't hurt also if you have the most angelic features, but nonetheless, Diana Agron and Carolina Herrera FTW!!!
4. Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka

Gone are the days when she's the chubby wild child in "The Osbournes." Now, she's looking every bit of a celebrity in this white stunning ensemble. The dress itself is very charming with the train and the intricacies in the shoulders. The rope detailing around her waist kind of reminds me of the white Valentino that Keira Knightley wore years back. It's very prim and proper (the sort which Kate Middleton can wear) and yet very old Hollywood glam. Her hair couldn't be more magnificent. I'd probably steal this if given a chance! *wink wink*
3. Emily Blunt in Oscar de la Renta
Courtesy of celebuzz.com
Try google-ing this dress and you'll see the happiest tiny thumbnails on your screen. Well, that's what I felt when I did.=) Emily Blunt has always been a bit experimental with fashion but this one really hit the bull's eye. Just looking at it makes me happy - the color is so cool in the eyes. The ruching is almost like a slimming voodoo tugging in her torso. The slit gives the right amount of sexiness and I love how her hair is pulled back loosely with fringes around her face. Miranda Priestly will, without a doubt, be proud! That's all!
2. Stacy Kiebler in Marchesa
Courtesy of Yahoo! Lifestyle WHO
I have to admit that I've always been bias about lace. I love lace! I think it can add the most romantic twist to any outfit. Couple that with the very able hands of the people from Marchesa, and voila, you've got this stunner (I meant the dress, not Ms. Kiebler!haha)! In all fairness, Marchesa is one of those who does no wrong. It's like everything they touch turns into gold. A beautiful, romantic, lacey gold disguised in a piece of garment that every girl would kill for! ;) On to the outfit, I love how Stacy never tried to upstage George Clooney. This dress is elegant but very subtle. I love how it shows her curves but not in a "it's too tight" kind of way. Her hair, also, is flawless with the way it frames her face while exuding a little flirtatiousness.

1. Emma Stone in Alexander McQueen
Courtesy of http://www.hollywoodreporter.com
Tea-length dresses are making a huge splash in the fashion world. This, I think, is the new "it" piece of vintage. I made this my number one pick because it's Emma Stone! Hello! Did I not mention in the previous post that I love her?! Kidding!haha Seriously, I made this my top pick because it is the epitome of vintage elegance + fun + sophisticated + natural. I would normally look for a pop of color but not on this one. It was perfect to a "T". The make-up and the hair and the dress and the shoes and the bag, they're all divine!
